Every year for my church we have a camp for our Young Women (ages 12-18). At this camp the girls learn life skills, similar to scouts. However, we have a way more fun than the boys do. This camp is a time for the girls to get to know one another better, enjoy nature and be, both, boy and care free. This year we were able to camp as a ward and we spent 5 1/2 days together. It was a nice little get away.

This year's theme was taken from the Dr. Seuss book, "Oh, the places you'll go!" My uncle was able to make this sign post for us. |

The camp site we went to was on 180 acres about 3 1/2 hours away from us (near Waco, TX) The view was amazing

At camp we have things we need to do for certification like first aid, build and extinguish fires, recognize cloud formations, etc. We also had some fun activities like shooting BB guns, going off the rope swing into the lake, and archery.
One of my favorite parts about this camp was that I was able to spend some time with my younger cousin, Olivia. She as trying to make me look like a deer(?).
*To respect the privacy of others I will not be posting any other photos from girls camp. But know that it definitely served its purpose in bringing these closer to one another, creating lasting friendships among the girls and leaders.
