This summer we welcomed our newest member of the family, Cookie. She is a rescue dog, pitbull mix. She is about 4 years old. Her previous owners found her on the road. It looked as if she had been hit by a car. When they took her to the vet she needed stitches on one of back legs and was, most likely, not cared for very well. They ended up keeping her and caring for her for 3 years. They were moving over seas and could not take her with them and gave her to us for free! She is well trained and the perfect dog for our family. She is the most patient and obedient dog and we could not have asked for a better addition to our family.

Alan tutors many days during summer but we were able to sneak in a few family outings. We saw Toy Story 4, Lion King ($5 Tuesdays at Movie Tavern), Smoothies ($5 Fridays at Smoothie King), Milkshakes at Chill, Attended our first major league baseball game (Go 'Stros!), some backyard water fun and Alan attempted backyard camping with the boys (it didn't last very long as it was summer in Houston a.k.a very hot and humid.
As usual, the fall brings many changes as we begin a new school year. Derek and Keith started grade 2 and Charlie moved to the 3's class...
