Road Trip 2017
Every few years there is reunion with my dad's siblings and their children. We were not able to make the last one but had planned on attending the next one, which was June 2017. We finished up school and packed the van with all that we'd need to make this first road trip with our family. We first stopped in Arizona to spend a day with our friends from Hawaii who had moved there. It was so nice to catch up them. After that, we went up Las Vegas, stopping at Hoover Dam, to start the reunion. It wsa so nice to spend a few days with family we rarely see, or have never met before. We ate, played games, ate, talked for hours, and ate some more. We were also able to attend the wedding of my brother Robbie to Casey. After the reunion and wedding, we drove some more to get to Utah and visit with my other brother, Clif and his children then spend a few days with Alan's uncle and cousins at their new home. We were able to go to scout camp with them and take the boys out on the lake and Alan and I were able to shoot a few guns. On our way home we stopped at four corners then finished strong and made it back to Houston safe and sound. 2 weeks, 5,690 miles, 6 states, 3 kids, 1 family reunion, 1 wedding, many memories and adventures.
